Manager / Senior Manager – FP&A.


Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Regional Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations for a district of the Environmental Sales & Service business. This role encompasses a blend of traditional finance responsibilities and controllership, requiring a keen eye for detail and a strong foundation in financial acumen, as well as the opportunity to roll up the sleeves and dig into resolving accounting and financial problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:


Financial Management & Controllership

  • Lead monthly close processes in partnership with branch and district leaders, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Ensure timely posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments while maintaining compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

  • Prepare, Review and validate financial statements for product lines including Safety Kleen, Technical Services, and Field Services.

  • Conduct detailed reviews of P&L and balance sheet and provide insightful information for leadership for decision making.

  • Develop comprehensive financial summaries/reports highlighting various performance drivers and areas of opportunities for cost optimization.


Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the preparation of monthly rolling forecasts for the district.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process for the district.

  • Support strategic initiatives with financial modelling, scenario analysis, and business case development.

  • Collaborating with various business leaders to align financial goals with business strategy


Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial operations.

  • Champion automation and standardization efforts across assigned activities.


Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Act as a trusted advisor to district and branch leadership, translating financial data into actionable insights.

  • Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships with operations, shared services, and corporate finance teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualification / Technical Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (CA/CMA – Inter or MBA).
  • Experience: Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial controllership, or business finance roles, with strong functional and application knowledge in US GAAP.
  • Systems Expertise: Proficiency in financial ERP systems (Oracle preferred), Excel, and data visualization tools.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
    • Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
