Manager — Special Education & Rehabilitation (Al-Mustafa Delhi Hospital)

Position summary:

The Manager — Special Education & Rehabilitation will oversee day-to-day clinical and operational management of the center, develop and implement individualized education and rehabilitation plans, ensure high-quality multidisciplinary services, supervise staff, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and build strong relationships with families and referring professionals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for all clinical and educational programs.
  • Develop, review, and implement individualized education/rehabilitation plans (IEPs/IRPs) in collaboration with therapists, teachers, and families.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate special educators and allied health staff; organize regular training and case reviews.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary team meetings, intake assessments, and progress reporting.
  • Ensure clinical documentation, therapy notes, assessment reports, and confidentiality practices meet professional standards.
  • Manage centre operations: scheduling, resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory.
  • Implement quality assurance processes, outcome measurement, and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with families, physicians, schools, and community organizations; provide parent training and counseling sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Project Planning and Execution of Special Education and Rehabilitation.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation Sciences, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or related field.

Professional certification or licensure relevant to the candidate’s discipline where applicable.

Additional postgraduate training or certifications in autism interventions (e.g., ABA, TEACCH, PRT), Down syndrome management, early intervention, or inclusive education is an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in special education or pediatric rehabilitation; at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role preferred.
