Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
- Master’s degree (18 years of education) in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University with 5 – 6 years of experience in the relevant field.
Desirable:
- 5 years of experience in managing media production studios, including a solid background in video recording and editing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the recording studio, managing all aspects of the video production process.
- Ensure smooth scheduling and coordination of recording sessions with faculty and the production team.
- Supervise a team of studio staff and video editors to ensure they meet production deadlines and quality standards.
2.Coordination with Faculty:
- Work closely with faculty members to coordinate the recording slots for online courses.
- Assist faculty in preparing course content for video, ensuring all necessary graphics, animations, and visual aids are prepared for the recordings.
- Provide support and guidance to faculty regarding the technical aspects of recording, such as camera angles, audio quality, and presentation techniques.
- Manage the procurement, maintenance, and security of all studio equipment, including cameras, lighting, microphones, and computers.
- Ensure that all equipment is handled with care and remains in optimal condition for recording.
- Maintain an updated inventory of all equipment and software licenses.
- Ensure that all data and recordings are securely stored, backed up, and managed in a proper database.
- Oversee the editing process to ensure that recorded content is refined into polished, professional-quality course materials.
- Ensure all recordings meet technical and visual quality standards before being uploaded to the platform.
- Manage video editing workflows using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and Avid Media Composer, ensuring effective post-production timelines.
5.Teamwork & Cross-Functional Support:
- Since NCL is a small team, assist in cross-functional tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members on various projects, including marketing content or troubleshooting technical issues.
- Participate in job rotation when required to support overall team operations.
- Ensure the security of the recording database and media assets, including managing access rights and ensuring proper storage protocols are followed.
- Monitor backup systems and disaster recovery plans to prevent data loss.
7.Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in video production and online learning.
- Recommend new technologies, software, or techniques that could enhance the studio’s recording capabilities.
- Manage the studio's budget for equipment purchases and maintenance.
- Ensure cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high production quality.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Essential:
- Proficient in managing the complete video production lifecycle: pre-production, recording, and post-production.
- Strong studio management skills including team supervision, task scheduling, and production oversight.
- Effective coordination with faculty for recording slots, content preparation, and on-camera support.
- Hands-on experience with operating and maintaining professional studio equipment (cameras, lighting, microphones, teleprompters).
- Skilled in video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and Avid Media Composer.
- Familiar with media file storage, database backup systems, and data security protocols.
- Ability to manage equipment inventory, procurement processes, and studio budgets.
- Flexible and collaborative, contributing to cross-functional team efforts and technical troubleshooting
Desirable:
- Technically proficient in the use, setup, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance of studio, audio-visual, recording, lighting, and post-production equipment.
- Experience in developing and implementing SOPs for studio operations, recordings, and equipment handling
- Understanding of academic production environments, including coordination with faculty, subject experts, and administrative units
- Advanced motion graphics and visual effects capability using Adobe After Effects and Illustrator.
- Strong photography and visual storytelling expertise used for campaigns, reports, and social media platforms.
- Experience in mentoring junior creatives and conducting workshops or training in media production.
- Knowledge of content strategy for diverse platforms including YouTube, Instagram, and learning management systems (LMS).
- Familiarity with scripting, field production planning, and multilingual content adaptation.

- Candidates are required to attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics / Professional).
- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.
Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Late / incomplete applications will be ignored.
- Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
