The
Manager, Supplier Quality
oversees all Supplier Quality related activities in support of Rheem business requirements. Will ensure conformance to Rheem and regulatory requirements for all purchased systems and components. Partners with the Supply chain to strengthen represented Rheem America's brands through continuous improvement efforts and prevention efforts.
This position will serve Rheem
Enterprise
Division and will be located in
Atlanta, GA, Montgomery, AL or Forth Smith, AR (Onsite)
.
Responsibilities
-
Works in cross functional operational teams to identify and develop mitigation strategies to proactively improve incoming quality from Supplier Partners.

Responsible for all Rheem owned tooling in alignment with procurement category structure, including design involvement, tool repair, purchase of new & replacement tools, and tool management process tracking.

Enforces supplier quality manual requirements and supports continuous improvement.

Leads, develops, and sets goals for Supplier Quality Engineers in support of Supplier Quality.

Coordinates and performs new supplier qualification and periodic onsite quality system surveillance audits for division supply base.

Participates as Supplier Quality Representative on cross-functional product core teams.

Coordinates the initiation, review, and approval of production part approval process (PPAP) packages and data for purchased parts Interfaces cross functionally, across plants, and with supplier representatives regarding identified product quality issues and associated supplier corrective actions.

Leads or participates in problem-solving as it relates to supplier product quality issues.

Supports, as appropriate, the processes of Supplier Risk Management.

Coordinates and provides training on quality systems and tools internally and externally to the division supply base, as necessary.

Support other corporate quality strategies and initiatives as required.
Qualifications
-
Required Bachelor's Degree Quality, Engineering, Industrial or related field.

7+ years of experience in quality

Experience managing and leading a team
-
Demonstrated ability to work well with others is a matrix team environment.

Strong ability to build relationships with internal teams (e.g., Operations, Quality, Engineering, and other business teams)

Great presentation and communication skills
-
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
-
Ability to travel domestically and internationally; targeted at 50% travel
Preferred Qualifications
-
Skilled in precision measurement techniques and use of standard metrology best practices.

Six Sigma Blackbelt and/or Shainin Red X Journeyman certification
-
Capable of accurately interpreting dimensioning and geometric tolerancing.

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
-
Certified ISO/TS Lead Auditor
-
Certified in Lean Manufacturing

In-depth experience in tool design, low-cost tooling, injection mold tooling, jigs, and fixtures

Practical working experience with statistical software Minitab
-
Thorough, detailed analysis and understanding of tool needs and programs.

Bi-Lingual (English, Spanish)
