Job Purpose:

The Supervisor will oversee daily production functions of textile and tailoring unit of men’s traditional wear/suits to ensure premium quality, cultural authenticity, operational excellence, and efficient team management. The role requires expertise in textiles, tailoring, workflow supervision, fit + finish standards, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team & Operations

  • Supervise and manage tailors, cutters, and production support staff
  • Plan and monitor daily output, tailoring schedules, production timelines, attendance, and task delivery
  • Ensure smooth workflow between cutting, stitching, finishing, pressing, and quality control
  • Assign and monitor tasks on production floor and mentor junior staff
  • Maintain discipline and performance standards while preserving cultural craftsmanship

2. Textile & Material Expertise

  • Oversee selection and usage of fabrics
  • Manager procurement team on fabric quality, texture, durability, fall, and cultural suitability
  • Monitor fabric waste control, material cutting efficiency, and resource optimization

3. Tailoring & Technical Supervision

  • Oversee measurements and fitting for ensuring fit standards
  • Ensure master cutting aligns to approved patterns, collar shapes, sleeve styling, cuff finish, and stitching standards
  • Review size accuracy, stitching precision, seam alignment, neckline, shoulder fit, and hem finish
  • Monitor garment alterations, fit correction cycles, and delivery timelines
  • Ensure final finish aligns to Emirati aesthetics (symmetry, shine, crispness, embroidery minimalism if applied)

4. Quality Standards & Compliance

  • Maintain high levels of quality and approve garments before packaging or delivery
  • Ensure maintained standards on Fit + fall consistency, Cultural aesthetics, Clean stitch lines, Proper seam reinforcement, Material finish and thread color alignment
  • Reject or rework garments that do not meet quality expectations
  • Conduct QC audits of tailor and cutter work

5. Stakeholder & Customer Coordination

  • Work with sales teams and client service teams to ensure accurate order delivery
  • Maintain strong relationships with fabric suppliers, service partners, and internal departments
  • Ensure customer expectations are met for texture, comfort, design conformity, and fit standards
  • Coordinate high-priority orders based on vertical deadlines

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain production logs, size charts, order registers, and tailor performance records
  • Provide weekly or monthly reports
  • Report any team or process bottlenecks

Required Qualifications

Diploma or training in tailoring, textiles, garment production, or fashion verticals (textile-specific preferred)
Minimum 2+ years in apparel supervision, cutting, or traditional garment production (Emirati wear experience preferred)
Strong cutter + tailoring pattern understanding
Knowledge of fabric types for Middle Eastern traditional attire
Good Communication Skills
