Job Purpose
The role is responsible for establishing, leading, managing, and expanding the bank’s Treasury & Global Markets Structuring & Sales function across all client segments, including Corporates, Financial Institutions (FI), Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFI), and HNWIs. This role will drive product innovation, business development, revenue growth, and market leadership by delivering tailored investment, hedging, and liquidity management solutions across Sukuks, Currencies, Commodities, financing products, and investments. The role requires strategic leadership in client acquisition, product structuring, risk management, and regulatory compliance while working closely with internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent must possess experience of Islamic capital markets and Shariah compliant structures.
Role & Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development Strategy

Develop and execute a comprehensive Treasury & Global Markets Sales strategy covering FI, NBFI, Corporates and Retail Clients

Develop new business opportunities by interacting with clients to identify their hedging, investment and liquidity needs

Build and maintain senior-level relationships with clients

Strengthen the bank's institutional investor network, including sovereign wealth funds (SWFs), pension funds, asset managers, hedge funds, fast money accounts, and private banking customers

Collaborate with relationship managers in Corporate Banking and Retail Banking to increase cross sell
Product Structuring and Research

Drive market penetration and client expansion by offering a full range of FX, Rates, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Structured liquidity and financing Solutions, and Wealth Management products

Identify opportunities for the delivery of new innovative products and market solutions by maintaining close contact and understanding of customer needs

Offer bespoke hedging, liquidity, investment solutions, including FX & Profit Rate Hedging, Sukuk Trading, Commodities Hedging, Money Markets, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management Products

Carry out extensive market research and financial analysis to provide tailor made and customized solutions to clients
Performance Management and Brand Positioning

Prepare regular updates on financial markets, business volumes and revenue for tracking performance and benchmarking

Position the bank as a top Islamic treasury solutions provider in Oman and the GCC region
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Finance/Economics/Business

Master’s Degree is preferable
Professional Qualifications
Work Experience
-
Minimum 10 years work experience in banking/financial institutions with at least 6 years in Treasury & Global Markets Structuring/Sales, covering both Institutional, Corporate, and Retail Sales

Deep expertise in domestic and regional financial markets, with strong relationships in the Financial Institutions, Corporate, Government and Retail segments

Well-versed with local and international capital market standards, rules & regulations with track record of success in structuring and marketing Treasury solutions

Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding client portfolios
