What You Will Do:
The Manager - Visual Merchandising (It Cosmetics)will lead design from concept through execution 2-D, 3-D & in-store visual presentations for in-store/ window displays, gondolas, in/outposts and events for the retail spaces that highlight product strategies, engage consumers, while maximizing traffic flow & sales opportunities. They will be a part of a dynamic, creative environment that interacts with cross-functional partners including the global retail design team to ensure that Kiehl's visual standards are continuously followed & elevated. They would be responsible creating & executing visual merchandising guidelines/ concepts, operational deliverables in the merchandising timeline, streamlining communication and processes throughout the merchandising development. This would include, but would not be limited to, the following roles and responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities:- Secure perfect Visual merchandising execution in the following Distribution: Free Standing Stores,Department Stores,Specialty, Open Sell environments, as well as Internal & External retailer's events.
- Acquireunderstanding of brand direction to ensure in-store execution is on brand.
- Conceptualize, Develop/Producetheatrical window,hallmark,and seasonal visual campaigns,ensuring best-in-class standards and brand elevation,adapting and tiering designs across varying store window configurations based on business priorities.
- Workcross-functionally with US and Global Brand teams. This includes Store Design, Visual, Digital&CreativeOperations, Marketing,O+O, Trade Marketing,Commercial,Finance,and Purchasing.
- Guidelines & Directives for execution excellence & elevated merchandising: Design Permanent andSeasonal VM guidelines: Planogramdirectives, Best Practicesdecks,and floor planslayouts, to be shared with internalpartners andstore teams.
- Manage, Update and Maintainpermanent storesdatabase,and ensureseamlessroll out of New Launch/ seasonalhallmarks &holidays.
- Budget responsibility: forecast & update + allocation transparency, balancing brand and business initiatives and priorities.
- Travel to openings, installations, suppliers.
- Oversee documentation of all major installations: including coordinating professional photo/videoshoots, managing schedules, andmaintainingorganized visual archives.
Required Competencies and Interpersonal Skills
- Understand retail design fundamentals;decodesbrand identity, masterproductsand market insights;followstrends andunderstandscompetition.
- Strives to deliver operational excellence; aligned with market specificities to ensure high standard of quality in POS material
- Ability to communicate clearly, and effectively across multiple departments; ability to accept creative input / feedback.
- Ability to work collaboratively ina strong teamenvironment; contribute ideas, be persuasive/defend design solutions whilstremainingflexible and open to other's points of view
- Confidently interactswith customers, peers, and cross functional teams
- Superior organizational skills: handle multiple projects, and ability to adjust to pressing priorities
- Strong technical and visual merchandising background
- Demonstrate agility and ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment, while working independently and collaboratively, with a strong creative eye and elevated taste level.
What We Are Looking For:Required Qualifications:- Bachelor'sDegree in visualmerchandising, fashion merchandising, exhibition design, fine arts, Interior Design, Architecture, visualcommunications or similar
- 2-4 Years of Experience in Visual Merchandising/Graphic Design
- Sephora,Ulta,Specialty, and Department store retailer experience
- Job Specific Experience/Skills
- Proficient inSketchup, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), AISoftware,Exceland Microsoft office/ PowerPoint.
- High levelof Creativity / high functioning communicator
