Manager, Wellbeing And Education

Job Purpose

To lead the strategic development and delivery of athlete-centered education support across Team Saudi’s Olympic and emerging sports programs. This role focuses on enabling academic flexibility for elite athletes, building a national network of supportive educational institutions, and creating frameworks that allow athletes to thrive in both sport and studies.

Strategic Leadership & Framework Development

• Design and implement a national athlete education strategy that supports dual-career pathways.
• Develop an athlete-friendly academic framework that aligns with Saudi educational standards and international best practices.
• Collaborate with education authorities and sport governing bodies to embed flexibility and support into academic systems.

Institutional Engagement & Network Building

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with schools, universities, and vocational institutions across Saudi Arabia.
• Advocate for athlete-friendly policies, including flexible attendance, exam scheduling, and remote learning options.
• Establish a national network of education partners committed to supporting elite athlete development.

Athlete Support & Guidance

• Provide personalized support to athletes in managing academic and sporting commitments.
• Guide athletes in selecting academic programs aligned with their long-term career aspirations.
• Facilitate access to tutoring, mentoring, and academic resources.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Track athlete academic progress and engagement, identifying risks and opportunities for intervention.
• Maintain accurate records of athlete education plans and institutional agreements.
• Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on the impact of education support programs.

Staff Collaboration & Education

• Work closely with wellbeing practitioners, coaches, performance and corporate strategy staff to ensure integrated support.
• Deliver workshops and training for staff on supporting athletes in education.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that promote holistic athlete development.
