TempExperts is seeking a Managing Attorney to lead legal operations for a practice focused on foreclosure, bankruptcy, and creditors’ rights within the Louisiana jurisdiction. The Managing Attorney will guide a team of attorneys and support staff while ensuring high-quality legal work, consistent compliance, and strong client service.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day legal operations, including workflow management, staffing needs, and performance expectations for attorneys and support personnel.
- Handle a caseload involving foreclosure, bankruptcy, replevin, and other creditors’ rights matters, including preparation of pleadings, appearances, hearings, and strategy development.
- Ensure all legal work complies with state and federal laws, court rules, and client directives, including documentation standards and required reporting.
- Review and approve legal documents prepared by team members to confirm accuracy, quality, and adherence to firm and client guidelines.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and professional development for attorneys and staff, including training, feedback, and performance discussions.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to implement process improvements, operational efficiencies, and quality-control measures across the practice.
- Monitor caseload metrics, production levels, deadlines, and service-level requirements while maintaining accurate and organized case files.
- Coordinate with internal departments and local counsel as needed to support litigation, compliance, and client communication.
- Participate in hiring decisions, workload planning, and personnel-related actions within the department.
- Represent the firm at hearings, mediations, and meetings as required, including travel to local courts.
Requirements/Education:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Louisiana.
- 7+ years of experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, or related civil litigation.
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience within a legal environment.
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, compliance obligations, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage high-volume caseloads, competing deadlines, and client expectations with professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based legal or case management systems.
- Multi-state licensure or willingness to pursue additional bar admissions is preferred.
