Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting department and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial management, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a proactive leader who can mentor junior staff and collaborate effectively with various departments to drive financial success.

Duties

  • Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to maintain financial integrity.
  • Prepare and interpret financial reports, providing insights into cash flow analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, securities law, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Lead audits and coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Manage payroll processes and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Sage or Xero for efficient financial management.
  • Perform account analysis, journal entries, and bookkeeping tasks as needed.

Skills

  • Proficiency in technical accounting concepts including accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, and financial report writing.
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as corporate finance, private equity, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting.
  • Experience with auditing practices and familiarity with public accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills for financial analysis and cash flow management.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with wills, trusts & estate law is a plus but not required.

The Senior Manager, Enterprise & Corporate Accounting be responsible for acquisition new investments across the Sports Vertical.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree Four-year college or university

· 10+ years relevant skills and experience

· Big-4 public accounting experience required

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Required

· Applying accounting guidance (US GAAP, IFRS) to accounting transactions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $170,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
