Account Manager – Waste Services

Position Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through a combination of new business development and account retention within an assigned market. This role requires a proactive sales professional who can build strong client relationships, identify opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions that align with customer needs while upholding the company’s brand and service standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Represent the company in the market with professionalism, executing canvassing and cold-calling strategies across all lines of business.

Manage a disciplined daily call program and ensure timely follow-up on all opportunities.

Research customer needs to propose appropriate products and services, delivering consultative guidance that creates long-term value.

Develop and maintain trusted client relationships by anticipating needs and positioning solutions that drive growth and retention.

Negotiate rates and contracts with customers on both spot and long-term bases.

Support account development through forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting.

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to develop proposals, pricing packages, and presentations tailored to client opportunities.

Consistently achieve or exceed monthly sales goals for new contracts, revenue, and account expansion.

Actively participate in training programs, networking events, and industry conferences to remain informed on trends and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications

2+ years of B2B sales experience, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding quotas.

Prior experience in customer service and account management.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams; CRM experience (Pipedrive or similar) a plus.

Strong skills in problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing decisions.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with presentations and virtual interactions.

Education

College diploma or equivalent required.
