Key Responsibilities

• Develop original hand-drawn sketches for rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and custom pieces.
• Translate conceptual ideas into detailed design illustrations with accuracy and creativity.
• Work closely with CAD designers, artisans, and production teams to ensure feasibility of designs.
• Create orthographic views (top, front, side, and perspective) for precise manufacturing references.
• Research market trends, gemstones, metals, and cultural influences to design appealing collections.
• Maintain consistency in design language while experimenting with new forms, textures, and motifs.
• Ensure designs adhere to brand aesthetics, client requirements, and technical specifications.
• Revise and refine designs based on feedback from clients or internal teams.
• Maintain a portfolio and design archives for future reference.

Key Skills Required

• Strong ability in hand sketching, shading, and rendering jewellery designs.
• Excellent knowledge of gemstones, metals, settings, and manufacturing techniques.
• Creativity with attention to detail, proportion, and finishing.
• Understanding of traditional and modern jewellery design styles.
• Ability to visualize and translate ideas into aesthetically appealing and functional designs.
• Good communication and collaboration skills with designers, craftsmen, and clients.
• Time management and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Jewellery Design, Fine Arts, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Manual Jewellery Designer (portfolio required).
• Knowledge of jewellery production processes (casting, setting, finishing, polishing) is preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD software (Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD) is a plus but not mandatory.
