Manual Machinist

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining manual machining equipment to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise will ensure that parts are machined accurately, efficiently, and safely, supporting our commitment to excellence in manufacturing.   • Set up and operate manual machining tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drills to produce metal parts according to detailed specifications.
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure precise machining processes.
  • Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and tolerances throughout production.
  • Perform routine maintenance on manual machining equipment and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on CNC programming, CAM programming, and tooling adjustments to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other machinery as needed.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction. Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Manual Machinist with strong mechanical knowledge in manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T standards.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming concepts, CNC lathe/milling machines (Fanuc or similar), and CNC operations is preferred.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, tooling equipment, forklifts, and support assembly tasks when required.
  • Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during machining processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow complex instructions accurately.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
