Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in West Chester, OH.
Job Description: Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to lead implementation for improvement opportunities, including Kaizen facilitation. Develop and maintain improvements to organizational capabilities for configured products, including equipment definition, selection and area design. Support realization of adoption of Schneider Performance System for relevant domains and focus areas, including Manufacturing Time Definition, 5S/Visual Factory, Process Line Architecture, and Value Stream Management. Address and update Work Documentation resources aligned with Schneider-Electric standards for key technical areas. Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services to make sure that manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational. Work in a collaborative team environment across functional and organizational lines. Interface with internal and external customers. Contribute to safety, ergonomics, and meeting regulatory compliance (UL, ISO). Stay current on developing trends in industry regarding assembly processes, methods, and competencies.
Requirements: Position requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering and progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience (1 year with Master’s or 3 years with Bachelor’s) in test engineering, continuous improvement, project management, or related occupation in the manufacturing industry, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Evaluating process flow and cell optimization; Evaluating, developing, and documenting manufacturing processes; Investigating and resolving issues identified in production; Reducing high risk job tasks using strong understanding of ergonomics and project implementation; Using lean manufacturing tools and processes (Lean Digital System [LDS], Symmetry, SmartSheets); and Engineering using key software (Creo and/or Pro/E, and AutoCAD).
