Manufacturing Engineer

A great UHY client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have process improvement experience, a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, and the drive to grow within the business. A positive attitude and willingness to spend time on the shop floor are essential.

The Manufacturing Engineer role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.

Manufacturing Engineer Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Work closely with production and operations teams to analyze workflow, material flow, and quality data.
• Support continuous improvement efforts through data analysis, observation, and hands-on engagement.
• Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Provide technical support to shop floor personnel, including troubleshooting process or equipment issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new products, equipment, or processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend actions for improvement.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
• Support capital project planning, equipment upgrades, and layout changes.
• Maintain documentation for processes, improvements, and training as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
• Demonstrated success in driving process improvement initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to spend time on the shop floor to understand processes firsthand.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Google Suite experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Self-driven, organized, and eager to learn the business.
