Manufacturing Engineer

Description:

Hotstart, Inc. has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer to support our growth of thermal management solutions. This position will work closely with production support and design engineering teams to better serve our internal and external customers.

Requirements:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and improve production systems, design and implement new equipment, processes, and procedures. Identify areas where costs can be reduced and find ways to increase efficiency and productivity
• Ensuring product quality, as well as assist in conducting root-cause analysis and resolving non-conformances
• Manage projects from start to finish, including creating project plans, coordinating resources, tracking progress, and reporting results to management
• Provide technical support to production teams and help trouble-shoot issues that arise
• Ensure that the manufacturing process is safe for workers and compliant
• Develop and implement FMEA’s
• Create work instructions to support manufacturing of products

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to teach
• Knowledge of general engineering, including understanding design specifications, reading drawings, schematics, and BOM’s
• Solid modeling and drafting experience desired
• Ability to work well under compressed time constraints and multi-task
• Ability to work productively within a team setting or independently
• Knowledge of manufacturing practices, including assembly line setup, tooling, and equipment acquisition and development

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS or MS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering

Wage: $77k - $90k DOE
