Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, a major Oil & Gas company is looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer to be based in Saudi Arabia.



Requirements


  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in: Change Action / New Product Development introduction / Sales Order Review / process mapping, Manufacturing Bill of Material updates, routings, fixtures, Quality Notification/REWORK, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Preferable experience in O&G manufacturing tools processes.
  • Lean Six Sigma: Responsible for the implementation of key elements of Lean and ensure that new processes are established using Lean concepts as well, such as: standardized work instructions, line balancing, layout and work sequence (routing) optimization, training development matrix, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen/5S workouts, pull processes, TPM (total preventive maintenance), cell design, and quick changeover/batch-size optimization.
  • Also responsible for driving continuous improvement projects on manufacturing processes.
  • Processes: Implement process improvements to achieve manufacturing excellence in areas such as process yield (e.g. First Pass Yield, Rolled Throughput Yield), cycle time reduction and productivity.
  • Machining activity, such as make & buy decision, tooling selection and design of fixtures, provide the feedback to programmer to improve the machining efficiency and reduce the cycle time. Preferable experience in machining processes, tooling, and CNC programming.
  • Provide shop floor feedback on product design and manufacturability issues to Engineering and DFMs (e.g. through the use of Engineering Change Requests - ECRs).
  • Review and sign-off on Engineering Change Orders that impact Inventory - including product life cycle issues, obsolescence, etc.
  • Creates, implements, and monitors key performance indicators and metrics on manufacturing process capability and product quality.
  • Monitoring and reducing process costs.
  • Quality, Risk Assessment and Support First Article.
  • Responsible for ensuring that manufacturing technology solutions achieve the required quality levels, reliability and consistency. Assist with investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for manufacturing quality issues.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Mechanical Engineering degree or similar
  • 3-5 years hands on Manufacturing engineering & engineering drawing experience mandatory.
  • Lean & Six Sigma (with certification & project)
  • SAP Experiences & Demand Planning
  • 2 years of machining center experience
  • Basic Tooling & Programming knowledge and skills.
  • Production Workflow
  • Non-Conformance Management
  • Technical Investigation experience
  • Production Test & Assembly
