About the Role

Gilani Mobility is looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer – Designer to support the design, development, and production of automotive, mobility, and accessibility solutions. This role connects engineering design with manufacturing, ensuring products are efficient to produce, cost-effective, and meet quality and safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering

• Create and modify mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Support product development from concept to production.
• Conduct design reviews and implement improvements for manufacturability and efficiency.
• Assist in prototyping, testing, and validating new or modified designs.

Manufacturing Support

• Collaborate with production teams to optimize designs for fabrication and assembly.
• Provide technical guidance during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
• Identify and resolve design-related issues in production.
• Support process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Analysis & Compliance

• Perform engineering calculations and design checks as needed.
• Assist with equipment testing and performance evaluations.
• Ensure all designs comply with ISO 9001 quality standards and engineering codes.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and revision control.

Coordination & Reporting

• Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Procurement teams.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and project documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design and manufacturing engineering roles.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication, and assembly methods.
• Familiarity with automotive, mobility, or accessibility products is an advantage.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Experience with 3D printing or prototyping is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
