We are a leading innovator in the melting and manufacturing of cutting-edge medical and industrial-grade Nitinol products. We’re looking for a passionate Manufacturing Engineer to play a critical role in driving our manufacturing operations to the next level.

As a Manufacturing Engineer I, you will be at the heart of our production, ensuring processes run smoothly, identifying opportunities for improvement, and making impactful decisions. This role offers a unique opportunity to innovate and optimize within a rapidly growing industry. You'll be working on a variety of tasks, including process monitoring, troubleshooting, and creating essential documentation to ensure our products meet the highest standards. The Manufacturing Engineer I will support manufacturing operations, process and equipment monitoring and improvement activities under the supervision of more senior engineers and management. Additional areas of focus include, but are not limited to: generation of manufacturing and quality control documentation, records keeping, basic troubleshooting, procedural recommendations.

Responsibilities:
  • Generate and maintain: Product specifications / drawings, Item Masters, Routers, Bill of Materials, Inspection documents, Validation protocols, Production forms, any other related system documentation.
  • Review and calculate labor, material and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making.
  • Evaluate manufacturing, maintenance, and quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Under supervision: conceptualize, design, and execute building/procurement of equipment, fixturing, tooling using internal and external resources.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Complete design and development projects by designing and conducting research programs.
  • Maintain/Advance professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or similar, or Bachelor’s in another technical field plus relevant experience/aptitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and time management.
  • Ability to collaborate and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
  • Participate in learning and growth opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
  • Prior experience in an engineering role within the medical device industry.
Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work and product/equipment inspection.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required.
  • Must be able to access and inspect all areas of machinery.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Compensation:
The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $73,000 - 91,000.
