Under general supervision, provides engineering support for many aspects of designing, testing and modifying manufacturing operations and implementing ECN’s for assembly line processes. May provide engineering support for machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding, brazing, assembly, and material handling.
Assists manufacturing engineers with estimating, designing, and preparing technical drawings and developing prototypes. Responsible for many aspects of testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Accumulates, and records test data. Maintains test equipment. Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates. Estimates work load to establish completion dates.
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A two year degree or equivalent is preferred. Requires at least 2 years related experience.
Excellent oral and written communications skills. Developing knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Knowledge of SAP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office a plus.
