Manufacturing Equipment Technician

Richmond, California

About the Role:
We are developing advanced micromanufacturing technology to enable next-generation MEMS and precision devices. As a Manufacturing Equipment Technician, you’ll work closely with Operations and Engineering teams to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize high-tech production and R&D equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production, R&D, and automation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues.
  • Conduct equipment qualifications, calibrations, and performance verifications.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance and repair documentation.
  • Support installation, upgrades, and decommissioning of manufacturing tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, safety, and uptime.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience maintaining equipment in a high-tech or semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with both manual and automated tools; understanding of chemical safety procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of LOTO, high-voltage, and gas safety practices.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform regular equipment maintenance tasks.
  • High school diploma required; technical degree preferred.
  • PLC programming or troubleshooting experience is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Working with gloveboxes or controlled environments.
  • Familiarity with PVD, ECP, laser machining, or CNC systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
