How You Will Help the Team
As the Financial Analyst, Manufacturing, you will serve as a trusted financial partner to Manufacturing Advancement leadership, providing timely, accurate, and actionable insights that support both daily operations and long‑term strategy. This role plays a critical part in strengthening cost transparency, improving forecasting accuracy, and supporting revenue and proposal planning across manufacturing, grant‑funded, and contract‑based programs.
Working closely with operational leaders and the Finance team, you will evaluate financial risks and opportunities, support disciplined cost accounting practices, and translate financial data into insights that drive confident decision‑making.
You’ll do this by:- Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting, variance analysis, and estimate‑at‑completion efforts
- Provide cost accounting support for manufacturing operations, including product costing, inventory valuation, and profitability analysis
- Support budgeting, revenue planning, and proposal development through accurate cost estimates and financial inputs
- Prepare clear and concise variance and performance reports that translate financial data into actionable insights
- Partner with Finance and operational leaders to ensure appropriate cost attribution, internal controls, and continuous process improvement
Your Knowledge & Expertise- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- At least five (5) years of experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or program/project financial management
- Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, including expert level Excel proficiency
- Experience with financial ERP systems and manufacturing or operational finance environments
- CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification preferred
- Ability to clearly communicate financial concepts to both financial and non financial stakeholders
