SCOPE OF WORK:
The Manufacturing Manager oversees all manufacturing activities, including assembly of product through final acceptance test. Plans, schedules, and manages manufacturing production processes. Ensures manufacturing performance, volume and quality goals are met by utilizing efficient methods and maintaining appropriate staffing levels. The manufacturing manager will train and assign work to direct reports.
JOB DUTIES:
- Plan, assign and oversee all aspects of the company’s production/test work
- Review and prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, materials supply, personnel resources, customer requirements
- Assign work to employees to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements
- Develop production schedules and personnel requirements
- Ensure manufacturing is continuously operating in a highly efficient manner. This may be done through the use of metrics. Some of these metrics may consist of but are not limited to: Manufacturing Efficiency, Manufacturing Utilization, Customer On Time Delivery, Quality Defects, RMA Return Percentage
- Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry.
- Responsible for revision control on the manufacturing floor
- Work effectively with employees while maintaining a high level of quality in a fast paced environment.
- Recognize areas in the work cell that need improvement and take immediate action on small improvement ideas. Present improvement plans to the VP of Operations for medium/large improvement ideas. Execute approved improvement plans.
- Contribute to creating and supporting Aspen’s health and safety programs.
- Train, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems
- Perform other duties as requested by the VP of Operations.
PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- 7-years of manufacturing experience, required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering considered in lieu of experience
- 3-years of experience in a supervisory role managing people
- Experience working with office equipment and software including computers, tracking systems, copiers and telephone systems
- Experience using Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and SAP or other ERP software
- Ability to learn and retain company procedures and methods
- Strong interpersonal customer service skills
- Punctuality, dependability, accountability and responsiveness to internal and external customers need
- Solid communication and follow-up skills (verbal and written) using proper grammar and delivery methods
- Strong organization/prioritization skills
- Ability to multitask, work independently, follow detailed instructions and problem resolution activities
- Strong team player who works well with others in a professional manner
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Standing and sitting for extended periods of time
- Lifting up to 50 pounds in a safe and prudent manner
- Ability to easily move through an approximately 45,000 square foot warehouse building
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Correctable vision and hearing
- Ability to work on-site full-time to perform functions of the job

Pay: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
