Employment Type: 6 MONTH Contract (Full-time)

Role Overview

BEPC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to support production operations for high-precision Ring Laser Gyroscopes and Tactical Guidance Products. In this role, you’ll work within a dynamic manufacturing environment, analyzing and refining processes, optimizing test systems, and supporting engineering-driven yield improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and CAMP methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to manufacturing and test operations for Ring Laser Gyros and related products.
• Analyze yield and performance data to improve product quality and production efficiency.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma practices to optimize manufacturing processes and workflows.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions through root cause analysis.
• Develop and refine assembly and test procedures for cost and cycle time improvements.
• Support design for manufacturability during new product introduction.
• Maintain and support test equipment, including establishing preventive maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate across teams to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Test products and associated software.

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or process environments.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or with protected status).

Preferred Experience:

• Manufacturing or product engineering within aerospace, medical, or automotive industries.
• Familiarity with optical, sensor, or electronic assembly.
• Experience in cleanroom environments.
• Skilled in analyzing process data and trends.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Proficient in root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques.
• Effective communicator with a strong hands-on, collaborative approach.

Contract Details

• Pay Rate: $50–60/hr (based on skills and experience)
• Location: Clearwater, FL (on-site)
• Duration: Full-time, 6-month contract
