Quality Engineer
Aviation Ground Equipment Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineer to collaborate with all departments to ensure that components and assemblies comply with specified engineering drawings and quality standards. This role supports the Quality Manager and assembly department in identifying, controlling, and resolving nonconforming products while maintaining effective communication with customers and suppliers.

What you will do:
- Participate in developing and maintaining documentation through the Document Control system, including manufacturing work instructions to ensure consistent application of quality product manufacturing.
- Assist in reviewing and approving initial release and revisions of technical drawings/documents.
- Utilize continuous improvement and best practices to focus on a reduction in quality issues.
- Responsible for ensuring that production identifies, quarantines, sorts any nonconforming product, and notifies the customer or supplier when a nonconformance has been found.
- Lead the closure of nonconformances by ensuring effective root-cause analysis, applying lessons learned to prevent recurrence, and overseeing timely and accurate resolution of all assigned nonconformance activities.
- Assist with scheduling and completing gauge calibrations.
- Communicate and coordinate across all organizational levels regarding quality issues, leading internal and external corrective actions including root-cause identification, implementation of effective corrective measures, and management of customer supplier notifications.
- Complete in-process and final inspections of components and assemblies.
- Possess experience in properly disposing of nonconforming components and assemblies – whether supplier-related or internal – in accordance with applicable technical drawings, specifications, and quality documents, including activities such as a product identification, segregation, and coordination of customer and supplier communication.
- Complete and/or review First Article Inspection documentation as required.
- Complete appropriate Certificates of Conformance documents including maintaining CofC logs.
- Focus on customer CAR’s, customer inspections, internal CAR’s, internal FAI’s, internal issues, releasing/updating internal drawings.
- Read and utilize quality system procedures, work instructions, and reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Engineering or related field.
- Two to four years of experience in Quality Manufacturing (Customer Quality preferred).
- Strong understanding of ISO9001, AS9100, and AS9102.
- Demonstrated experience in the manufacturing and integration of large, complex electrical systems.
- Audit processes and verify suppliers with corrective actions.
- Strong Supplier Development and Auditing for proper closure of internal as well as external corrective actions.
- Experience in generating/reporting company key metrics (including supplier performance, Supplier Scorecards, internal performance, customer performance, Customer Scorecards, etc.) preferred.
- Strong skills with various programs including MS office (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to review and evaluate new customer requirements, identifying technical impacts and ensuring alignment with product capabilities and engineering specifications.
- Experience in completing documentation and inspection of parts for spare and repair orders as needed.
- Local travel 5%.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
