Summary: The Manufacturing Systems Support Coordinator provides technical planning, setup, and support for manufacturing support systems across all Company manufacturing facilities. This role focuses on RFID systems, PIV equipment, shop floor tracking systems, and Smart Factory initiatives by maintaining accurate data records, developing process documentation, performing equipment installation, and monitoring system performance to ensure optimal manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
RFID Systems Management
- Facilitate planning and organizing of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) grids across all manufacturing facilities
- Perform setup, installation, and maintenance of RFID reader and antenna grids in all manufacturing areas
- Design custom mounts for RFID equipment
- Perform technical setup of RFID equipment and software validations
- Coordinate development, testing, and deployment of miscellaneous RFID and shop floor systems projects
Data Management & Reporting
- Create queries and reports to track inventory, PIV movement, and identify inventory discrepancies
- Monitor system performance daily through software reports and perform technical maintenance as required
- Develop, maintain, and distribute supporting reports and queries for manufacturing support systems
- Maintain accurate shop floor maps, drawings, and diagrams of all equipment placement, zones, aisles, and locations
System Administration
- Set up, define, and maintain Manufacturing Support Systems values, user profiles, and user access levels
- Monitor and maintain system settings to ensure optimal performance
- Enter IT demands, incidents, and bugs as required; complete follow-up and resolution validation
PIV Equipment Support
- Deploy, install, and provide primary support for PIV tablet and scanner equipment in manufacturing
- Design and test custom PIV mounts and develop prototypes with vendors
- Ensure PIV equipment is properly configured and maintained
Process Development & Documentation
- Identify and document manufacturing processes
- Assist in process development for Manufacturing Support Systems
- Develop flowcharts and design processes for system improvements
- Create and maintain training materials for manufacturing employees
- Facilitate training on process implementations
Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Consult with vendors, provide required specifications, obtain price quotes, and place orders
- Work directly with Ashley MFG Shop Floor and India development teams
- Provide development requirements, use/test cases, and user acceptance testing results
- Support Smart Factory initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Required
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production and inventory control environment, Required
- Experience with AS400 scanning system and MAPICS/Powerlink preferred
- Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies
Work Environment:
This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The fast-paced environment involves time-sensitive and safety sensitive operations and may include various shift schedules to support production and distribution needs.
