Position Summary
The Marketing and Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth, referral development, and market expansion for OneWell Health Care’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) services. This role focuses on building strategic partnerships, increasing brand awareness, and identifying new business opportunities to support sustainable census growth while aligning with regulatory and compliance standards. The position plays a key role in developing innovative programs and initiatives that support the organization’s mission and long-term strategic growth.
Position Scope
This is an on-site position that operates across assigned regions, supporting both local and regional growth initiatives. The role collaborates closely with Operations, Clinical, and Executive Leadership teams, as well as external stakeholders such as partner organizations, Supports Coordinators, and state/county agencies, to identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities. Responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships, conducting market research, developing proposals, and executing marketing and outreach strategies that increase referrals, strengthen community presence, support program expansion, and drive revenue growth aligned with OneWell Health Care’s mission to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
The Marketing and Business Development Manager develops and executes strategic marketing and business development plans, identifies and pursues new growth opportunities, and builds and maintains strong relationships with referral sources including Supports Coordinators, case managers, healthcare providers, community organizations, and state and county stakeholders. This role contributes to the development of innovative programs and service lines, creates and presents proposals and partnership opportunities, and promotes OneWell’s services through outreach, events, and community engagement. Responsibilities also include supporting census growth and revenue generation, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance requirements, and representing the organization in professional and community settings. Additionally, the role assists with marketing materials and campaigns, supports recruitment initiatives through community outreach, contributes to strategic projects and program development, provides insights on service expansion opportunities, and collaborates across departments. Key activities include developing and implementing marketing strategies, conducting market research and analyzing trends and competitor activity, performing outreach to referral sources and partners, creating proposals and presentations, coordinating and attending networking events and conferences, tracking referral pipelines and performance metrics, supporting onboarding and program expansion efforts, preparing reports on business development outcomes, and supporting branding and communication initiatives.
Regulatory Frameworks
Operates in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including Medicaid, HCBS (Home and Community-Based Services) requirements, Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) regulations, HIPAA, and applicable marketing and healthcare compliance standards.
Confidentiality
Maintains strict confidentiality of all company, employee, and participant information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies. Ensures all outreach and marketing activities protect sensitive and protected health information.
Documentation Requirements
Maintains accurate records of outreach activities, referral tracking, partnership engagement, proposals, and business development metrics. Ensures documentation is timely, complete, and aligned with company systems and reporting requirements.
Certifications
Relevant certifications in marketing, business development, healthcare administration, or related fields are preferred but not required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in marketing, business development, or outreach within healthcare, home health, or IDD services. Experience with Medicaid-funded services, Pennsylvania ODP programs, and community-based services strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM systems and data tracking tools; ability to analyze data and generate reports; familiarity with digital marketing tools and strategies; and experience using internal systems such as C2S or similar platforms preferred.
Languages
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English required; additional languages are a plus.
Driver License
Valid driver’s license required with reliable transportation and ability to travel locally.
Travel Requirement
Frequent local travel required for outreach, meetings, and events; occasional regional travel may be required.
