Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Marine Air Conditioning Technician to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair marine HVAC and refrigeration systems onboard vessels. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient climate control and compliance with marine safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair marine air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Diagnose faults in chillers, compressors, condensers, and evaporators
• Maintain seawater cooling systems, pumps, and piping
• Inspect and repair ducting, controls, thermostats, and sensors
• Handle refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations
• Perform preventive maintenance and seasonal servicing
• Conduct pressure testing, leak detection, and system performance checks
• Read and interpret HVAC schematics and technical manuals
• Maintain service records and maintenance reports
• Coordinate with marine engineers, electricians, and shipyard personnel

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Marine Engineering
• Proven experience as a Marine Air Conditioning or HVAC Technician
• Strong knowledge of marine HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Certification for refrigerant handling (preferred/required as per regulations)
• Understanding of marine safety and environmental compliance standards
• Ability to work onboard vessels, in confined spaces, and varying weather conditions

Preferred Skills

• Experience with chillers, VRF systems, and marine refrigeration units
• Electrical troubleshooting knowledge related to HVAC systems
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
