Marine Electrician

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on marine vessels.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Service power distribution systems, control panels, generators, batteries, lighting, navigation, and communication systems.
  • Install and terminate electrical wiring, cables, and connectors according to marine standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliable vessel operation.
  • Test electrical systems and verify functionality after repairs or installations.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable marine regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and other technicians to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Diploma, technical certification, or vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Marine Electrical Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Marine Electrician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, marine electrical installations, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with marine safety standards and electrical codes.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month

Experience:

  • Marine Electrical Technician: 3 years (Preferred)

Language:

  • English (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • QID (Preferred)
