Marine Engine Mechanic / Technician

Job Purpose
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair inboard/outboard marine engines, propulsion systems, and auxiliary equipment to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair marine diesel/gasoline engines, gearboxes, propeller shafts, and fuel systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, engine overhauls, and performance testing.
• Interpret technical drawings and service manuals for fault identification.
• Maintain service records and ensure compliance with marine safety standards.
• Provide on-site emergency repairs for yachts, boats, or commercial vessels.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Technology.
• 3–5 years’ experience with outboard/inboard marine engines (Yanmar, Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, etc.).
• Knowledge of IMO safety regulations and class requirements is an advantage.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
