Marine Master Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Master Technician to lead and execute complex maintenance, repair, and fabrication tasks on marine vessels and related equipment. This energetic role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with precision and efficiency. As a Marine Master Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our fleet. Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on marine vessels using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, and precision measuring instruments to execute precise repairs and fabrication tasks.
  • Conduct electrical work including wiring, soldering, troubleshooting with ohmmeters, and working with electrical schematics to ensure systems are fully operational.
  • Execute rigging procedures for lifting and securing heavy components safely using appropriate rigging techniques.
  • Maintain mechanical systems such as engines, hydraulics, sheet metal components, and propulsion units through routine servicing and repairs.
  • Collaborate with team members to assemble parts or systems according to specifications; ensure all work adheres to safety standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding maintenance needs and project updates.
  • Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks including heavy lifting operations and general upkeep of marine equipment.
  • Support fabrication projects by cutting, welding, assembling sheet metal parts or custom components as required.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety protocols and industry regulations while maintaining meticulous records of work performed.

Experience

  • Proven service technician experience in marine or heavy machinery environments with a strong mechanical background.
  • Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Demonstrated electrical experience including wiring, soldering, using ohmmeters, and troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Shrink wrap and winterization knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with rigging techniques for lifting heavy loads safely.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures specific to marine vessels or similar machinery.
  • Ability to fabricate or modify sheet metal components accurately; experience with welding is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience working with schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Marine technician : 3 years (Preferred)
