Marine Production Engineer

Job Duties:

· Assisting with the planning, design, and implementation of manufacturing processes for Aluminum & Composite Vessels from 20'-65'

· Partners with production leadership to develop and execute manufacturing strategies that meet schedule, quality, and cost objectives.

· Prepares and reviews plans, technical drawings, and process documentation to ensure alignment with engineering and client specifications.

· Ensures compliance with ABYC, USCG, Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, DFARS, ITAR, and other applicable marine standards.

· Manage process optimization efforts including workflow analysis, tooling design, and equipment selection to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

· Supports cost estimation, production scheduling, and materials planning in coordination with sales and operations team.

· Maintains strong quality control practices, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

· Coordinates with designers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure technical requirements are met.

· Supports production staff and technicians.

Requirements:

· Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Strong understanding of marine manufacturing requirements and quality standards.

· Proficiency in creating and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and engineering data.

· High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

· Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, sales, operations, and project management teams.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering, or related field required

· At least 3 years of production engineering experience in marine manufacturing, defense, aerospace, or transportation industries preferred.

· Prior experience in boat building a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
