Job Purpose:
As Market Intelligence Officer, you will be the driving force behind how our organization understands and responds to market dynamics. You will own the end-to-end intelligence function—from data collection and validation to the delivery of strategic insights that shape commercial decisions. Your work will directly influence pricing strategies, new business development initiatives, and our competitive positioning. You will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business, ensuring that every decision is grounded in accurate, timely, and actionable market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Strategy & Governance
- You will take full Responsibility for the integrity of all market intelligence data, establishing and maintaining a single source of truth within the CRM.
- You will design and implement data validation rules, standard operating procedures, and rigorous data hygiene practices that reflect our Commitment to operational Excellence.
- You will proactively audit data for inconsistencies, duplicates, and gaps, resolving issues before they impact decision-making.
- You will ensure that all intelligence data is structured, accessible, and aligned with business objectives.
2. Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights
- You will lead the collection and synthesis of competitor pricing, product trends, customer insights, and broader market movements, feeding your Passion for market dynamics into every analysis.
- You will analyze complex datasets to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and untapped opportunities, translating data into compelling narratives.
- You will prepare and present regular market intelligence reports, executive summaries, and ad-hoc briefings that empower leadership to make informed decisions.
- You will maintain a forward-looking view, anticipating market shifts and advising stakeholders accordingly.
3. Dashboard Development & BI Collaboration
- You will collaborate closely with the BI team to design, develop, and enhance interactive dashboards, embodying Teamwork to create powerful visualization tools that serve the entire organization.
- You will define requirements for reporting and ensure that dashboards reflect real-time, accurate, and actionable business insights.
- You will champion the use of data visualization best practices, ensuring that complex information is presented clearly and intuitively.
- You will work to automate reporting processes, driving Sustainability in how insights are delivered.
4. Pricing Strategy & Commercial Support
- You will lead price benchmarking and competitive pricing analysis, applying an Ethical Approach to ensure fair, competitive, and profitable positioning.
- You will partner with commercial teams, providing data-backed pricing insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
- In the absence of the Market Intelligence Lead, you will serve as the primary point of contact for pricing data requests and strategic analysis, demonstrating your Responsibility.
- You will ensure continuity of critical intelligence functions, maintaining our competitive edge.
5. Process Automation & Continuous Improvement
- You will identify and implement opportunities to automate repetitive data collection, processing, and reporting workflows, embodying a culture of Excellence and innovation.
- You will develop advanced Excel-based tools, templates, and trackers that enhance efficiency across the team.
- You will continuously evaluate and refine intelligence processes to improve accuracy, turnaround time, and overall impact.
- You will stay current with emerging tools and technologies that can enhance our intelligence capabilities.
6. Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory
- You will serve as a trusted point of contact for all market intelligence data queries, building strong, collaborative relationships across Sales, BDMs, Pricing, Marketing, and BI teams.
- You will proactively engage with stakeholders to understand their evolving intelligence needs, demonstrating Teamwork and a customer-focused mindset.
- You will support New Business Development initiatives with timely, relevant insights that de-risk decisions and uncover growth opportunities.
- You will ensure responsiveness to internal data requests within defined timelines, consistently exceeding expectations.
Tools & Systems (Preferred):
- BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel skills with proven ability to build complex models, dashboards, and automated tools
- Strong proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent)
- Experience with CRM systems and understanding of database structures
- Ability to manage, query, and analyze large datasets with precision
- Familiarity with SQL or Python for data manipulation is highly desirable

- Act as backup and strategic support for the Market Intelligence Lead when required

- Ensure adherence to internal data governance, reporting standards, and ethical intelligence practices
- Contribute to the continuous development of the intelligence function through innovation and best practice sharing
