Job Summary

The Market Research Officer is responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting market data to help the organization understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive positioning. The role supports strategic decision-making by providing actionable insights and reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct market research studies (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Collect data through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and secondary research
  • Analyze market trends, customer behaviour, and industry developments
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and product offerings
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards with insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to support campaigns and product development
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies and initiatives
  • Maintain and update market research databases
  • Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related field
  • Proven experience in market research or data analysis (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in market research, marketing analytics, or a similar role (may vary by organisation)
