Marketing and Communications Administrator

This is a Full-Time, Exempt Position

The Marketing and Communications Administrator position is a member of the Senior Management Staff. Under the supervision of Children’s Home Society of California’s (CHS) Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing and Communications Administrator will:

· Supervise the daily activities of the Marketing and Communications Department including, monitoring project traffic, internal and external communications, the CHS website, and social media

· Develop, monitor, and maintain CHS’s social media presence

· Manage CHS’s digital marketing campaigns in order to promote CHS’s programs and services, which includes planning campaigns, analyzing metrics, and identifying trends

· Responsible for planning and executing CHS’s advertising efforts

· Serve as a liaison with third-party creative, design, and printing agencies

· Ensure staff adherence to all Marketing and Communications policies, procedures, and established workflows.

· Oversee implementation of the Marketing and Communications Plan, ensuring alignment across all projects and initiatives.

· Review and approve marketing and communications materials to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with CHS branding, style, and content guidelines.

· Maintain consistency in messaging, tone, and visual identity across all organizational communications.

· Supervise and manage a team of marketing and communications professionals, including providing direction, feedback, and performance oversight.

· Support staff in meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work that aligns with organizational priorities.

· Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, as well as applicable contractual and governmental regulations

· Supervise, train, and evaluate staff

· Work some evening and weekend work hours as required

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required

· Minimum of 5 years of experience required

· Supervisory experience required

· Prior non-profit experience desired

· Experience in project management using project management software (i.e. Asana, Monday, etc.)

· Experience in creating and implementing client and/or employee experiences

· Excellent writing and editing skills required

· Excellent proofreading skills

· Experience with copywriting and content marketing required

· Proven experience with print (brochures, flyers, newsletters, etc.) and online media

· Experience with publishing software for PC and/or MAC required

· Graphic design skills preferred

· Strong data entry skills

· Self-motivator with a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible and positive attitude

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented workplace

· Ability to provide attention to detail and produce error-free work

· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the agency staff

· Technologically astute, with strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe required

· Ability to travel via air and surface transportation, including travel between multiple offices

SALARY SCALE:

Entry level pay for this position is $1,708.18 per week; the full pay scale is $1,708.18 to $2,300.01 per week. Advancement on pay scale is based on qualifications, such as experience and education, and eventual job performance. Excellent benefits are provided including 100% employer paid medical, dental, and vision premium coverage for eligible employees and their eligible dependents and 10% pension plan contribution for eligible employees.
