Job Title: Marketing and Communications Manager
Department: Development and Mission Advancement
Position Summary: The Marketing and Communications Manager leads the development, design, and execution of strategic marketing, branding, and communication initiatives that elevate the visibility, reputation, and engagement of New View Alliance and its affiliated organizations.
This role blends creative vision with strategic leadership—ensuring the Alliance’s voice and visual identity are strong, consistent, and compelling across all platforms. The ideal candidate is a hands-on storyteller, designer, and project manager who can take ideas from concept to final execution.

Compensation
$60,405 - $67,000 per year
  • Offers based on education and years of relevant experience
Hours/Schedule
Full-Time, 35 hour work week
Monday - Friday
Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
Strategic Communications & Brand Management
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing, communications, and visual design strategy for NVA, Gateway Longview, and New Directions Youth & Family Services.
  • Maintain brand standards, messaging consistency, and visual identity across all digital, print, and multimedia channels.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on messaging, branding, and design best practices.
Graphic Design & Creative Development
  • Design high-quality print and digital collateral including newsletters, annual reports, brochures, event materials, infographics, and advertisements.
  • Create compelling layouts for websites, social media, email marketing, and digital platforms.
  • Manage photography, videography, and creative assets to maintain a robust visual library.
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to produce professional, brand-aligned materials on deadline.
Public Relations & Media Engagement
  • Cultivate press relationships and secure positive coverage.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and talking points.
  • Lead crisis communications, ensuring timely, accurate, and appropriate public responses.
Content Creation & Storytelling
  • Oversee the creation of impact-driven content highlighting stories of youth, families, donors, and staff.
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure content is authentic, accurate, and engaging.
  • Develop integrated marketing strategies for events, initiatives, and campaigns.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
  • Manage website content, performance, and design updates to enhance user experience.
  • Create and execute social media strategies with visually engaging content to grow awareness and engagement.
  • Monitor analytics and adjust content strategies for optimal performance.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Partner with development, HR, program, and executive teams to support fundraising, recruitment, advocacy, and community engagement.
  • Supervise marketing/communications interns, vendors, and freelance creatives.
  • Provide on-site communications support for events, campaigns, and leadership initiatives.
Technical Skills
  • Graphic & Visual Design: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Web & Development: WordPress CMS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design principles, UX/UI fundamentals.
  • Email Marketing: Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot Marketing Hub.
  • Social Media & Digital Ads: Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager.
  • SEO/SEM & Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Surfer SEO, Yoast.
  • Content & Asset Management: DAM systems, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Photography & Video: DSLR camera operation, basic to intermediate photo and video editing.
  • Marketing Automation & CRM: HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Project Management: Asana, Trello, Monday.com, Slack.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strategic thinker with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable as a public-facing representative for media and community events.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in both print and digital design.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, adaptable for diverse audiences.
  • Proven track record in brand management, media relations, and multi-channel campaigns.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate concepts to non-marketing stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Web Design, or related field
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, and graphic design.
  • 3–5 years of demonstrated graphic design.
  • 3–5 years of demonstrated web design.
