Marketing Assistant

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm**

Position requires representing the bank at community events and occasionally working after hours or on weekends.


Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Supporting the planning and execution of marketing events and post-event analysis.
  • Overseeing the inventory and distribution of promotional items and marketing materials.
  • Assisting in content creation for marketing channels, proofreading/editing articles, ads, flyers, invites, communications, and helping with newsletters, website, and print ad creation.
  • Administrative support of the marketing team and other departments.
  • Assisting with managing social media presence, creating graphics, and digital advertising campaigns and SEO efforts.
  • Serving as liaison between the marketing department and branches.
  • Serving as liaison between Bank and vendors, community partners, and civic organizations.
  • Conducting market research on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Maintaining marketing files for compliance and adherence to bank policies.
  • Function as a backup for Switchboard Operator.
  • Assist customers with Safe Deposit Box access, debit card issuance, gift card issuance.
  • All of duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field; or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
  • Foundational knowledge of SEO and SEM principles.
  • Required Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of bank marketing regulations and compliance standards preferred.

Requirements

While performing duties, the employee is required to sit, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds, type, the ability to communicate effectively with others, and will be required to work evenings and/or weekends, attend remote meetings/trainings and/or travel.
