Job Purpose

The Maerketing Category Manager is responsible for managingthe product performance within the region of responsibility in-line with EMEA product strategy. Role will focus on having a clear & detailed understanding of market knowledge to support the product development process with regionalneeds, leading market launchesand phase-outs, owning the regional pricemanagement, and delivering appropriate product-focussed sales enablment tools and knowledge to the commercial teams.


Key responsibilities

Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management

  • Conduct market, channel, competitive & share of wallet (SoW) analysis to identify & execute growth opportunities in the region
  • Key contributor to definition of segmentation, targeting & positioning plans
  • Manage the introduction, growth and phase-outof products within the region of responsibility
  • Own New-To-Range (NTR) forecasts for the region, and execute plans to achieve NTR forecast accuracy
  • Lead regional market launches of new products, ensuring customer shelf-space wins
  • Identify & manage regional opportunities for excess and obsolete stock reductions
  • Lead cross-reference (x-ref) activities and needs for the regionto support customergrowth and tenders; collaborate with cataloguing to fill identified gaps
  • Collaborate with technicalteams to address regional technical- and product-related issues
  • Plan and implement appropriate product marketing tactics through the product lifecycle

Price & profit management

  • Be a key contributor to EMEA pricing strategy creation and evolution with intelligence gathering on market positioning and competitor benchmarking
  • Lead pricing execution in region based on EMEA price strategy& with supportive pricing information gathered from local markets / trade marketing
  • Analyze product profitability and drive margin improvements with appropriate price adjustments
  • Own loading of pricing into relevant systems

Sales enablement

  • Deliver effective and timely communication of product updates, technical changes, and positioning strategies within the region
  • Manage regional tools to support trade marketing and commercial teams - stock recommendations, NTR tracking, NTR pricing, etc
  • Lead product training for commercial teams in region
  • Collaborate with Trade Marketing to develop promotional activities aligned with product strategy & targets
  • Support digital marketing initiatives by providing product-related content for online platforms

Demand Planning

  • Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activities in aftermarket.
  • Gather insights from sales teams, customers and industry reports to identify growth opportunities.

Continuous improvement (CI)

  • Identify and leadCI opportunities activitieswithin the region

New Product launches

  • Manage new product launches in the region, ensuring alignment with marketing and sales strategies

Technical Support & Training

  • Collaborate with technical team to address technical inquiries and product-related issues.

Digital & E-commerce Support

  • Support digital marketing initiatives by providing product-related content for online platforms.

Financial and market-share growth

  • Implementation of the tactics to achieve revenue and profitability results and market share growth for the category
  • Understand key financial & economic indicators to drive regional growth
  • Define and own the region price position based on market and financial indicators & EMEA price policy
  • Implement appropriate sales enablement activities to drive demand, adoption, share-of-wallet gain, and overall success


What we’re looking for

Education/Experience - Required Qualifications and skills

  • 5+ years in trade marketing, channel marketing or sales supportwithin the automotive aftermarket or industrial sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Businessor a related field.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Experience in retail, B2B marketing and sales channel support.
  • Ability to managemultiple stakeholders, including sales teams, dealersand marketing agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools and data analysis software.
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficient in building customer relations and loyalty
  • Strong analytical abilities and will have a data-oriented approach
  • Confident ability to present and communicate effectively with customers
  • Experience of social media marketing and content creation
  • Open minded with high level of enthusiasm and energy
  • Commercial mindset
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Must own a valid drivinglicense
  • Have a flexibleapproach to travel


Education/Experience – Preferred skills

  • Technical understand of automotive industry and aftermarket
  • Experience of working in a global and cross matrix organization would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of French is preferred
