Marketing & Communications Intern

Overview

We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to support our innovative real estate company in Lancaster, PA. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, utilizing social media to promote our business, while also developing both video editing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

- Design and implement engaging social media campaigns. We ask that the intern be innovative and creative with posts. We give a lot of creative liberty to the intern to come up with what they would find engaging and interesting to create.

- Generate and distribute diverse content including blogs, infographics, videos, and reels, and more across social media channels.

- Create listing flyers utilizing provided templates for company listings, print and display in our window.

- Film/photograph listing highlight content for video tours & promotional posts.

- Contact real estate leads via phone and email when they inquire online and engage past leads. Connect leads with agents.

- Consult with real estate agents to give them guidance on establish and running their social media presence, helping them to create posts.

VIDEO EDITING

- Edit recorded zoom trainings into professional training videos utilizing power-point style graphics/slideshows.

- Create short training videos with animated graphics (this can be simple/Canva created if animation is not in your skillset - like stick-figure illustrations).

- Edit Sales Meeting video recordings

- Interview & post highlights of guest speakers from our Sales Meetings

ADMINISTRATION

- Host the front desk: greet everyone with a positive, warm welcome, answer phones, create a welcoming & engaging office atmosphere

- Work independently for the majority of the time

- Complete daily office maintenance checklists: cleaning tasks, stocking supplies, making coffee for guests, checking mail, communicating with owners, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

- Pursuing or completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field ideal.

- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and social media platforms. We do want to see that you have a design-eye and ability to create social media content. It is very helpful if you can share your previous social media work with us, so please include that when you apply.

- Ability to edit videos and create visual content for training videos. Please also share with us other projects you've worked on and examples of what you can do.

- Excellent interpersonal skills are a must: Our office environment can be both quiet on days you are working entirely independent, but there are also days when agents and guests are busy in the office. We need the person in this role to be energetic and engaging of those in the office, while still being able to happily work independently on the quieter days.

- Great phone communication skills: We will have this role also calling leads and interacting with those who inquire online to connect them with agents. Must be comfortable making and receiving phone calls as there will be a minimum requirement of weekly calls made.

- Proficiency in graphic design tools, social media platforms, and video editing software.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

- Passion for staying updated on social media trends and best practices.
