Marketing Communications Specialist

Job Purpose:

The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for the execution and ongoing ownership of Lone Star Communications’ employee-facing communications, including company Town Halls, the internal newsletter, and approved internal communications. This role ensures employees receive timely, clear, and consistent information that supports alignment, engagement, and company culture.

The position also supports broader marketing initiatives through content production, podcast support, and collaboration with marketing team members across Lone Star Communications and its affiliated companies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Employee Communications

  • Own the execution and ongoing delivery of approved employee-facing communications, including company updates, announcements, and recurring communications.
  • Produce and manage the company’s internal newsletter, including content coordination, editing, publishing, and distribution.
  • Collaborate with marketing leadership and internal contributors to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency of internal messaging.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives that reinforce company culture and employee ownership.

Town Hall Production

  • Own the production of Lone Star Communications Town Halls, including content coordination, run-of-show development, speaker materials, production logistics, and post-event distribution.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to support Town Hall execution.
  • Manage timelines, preparation, and follow-through to ensure reliable and consistent delivery of Town Hall programming.
  • Maintain documentation, templates, and repeatable processes to support ongoing execution.

Budget Coordination & Contractor Support

  • Track and manage approved budgets related to Town Hall production, internal communications, and content initiatives.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for approved projects, including scheduling, scope coordination, and deliverable tracking.
  • Support basic contractor and project bookkeeping activities, including purchase requests, invoice review, reconciliation, and coordination with finance and marketing leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records related to project spend, vendor usage, and budget tracking.

Podcast & Internal Media Support

  • Support podcast production activities, including scheduling, content preparation, publishing, and promotion.
  • Assist with audio and video editing, show notes, and media preparation.
  • Coordinate with marketing team members to align podcasts and internal media with broader communications and marketing initiatives.

Marketing Support

  • Support content creation and publishing across marketing channels, including social media, websites, and internal platforms.
  • Assist with marketing asset coordination, publishing workflows, and execution tracking.
  • Collaborate with marketing team members on campaigns, programs, and events across Lone Star Communications, Alairo, and ProMobix.
  • Provide general marketing support as assigned.
  • Follow all company processes and procedures in accordance with the LSC Quality Management system to ensure that a quality product is maintained and delivered within the predetermined time and cost
  • Attending required internal company meetings such as safety, departmental, scheduled daily and weekly meetings.
  • All employees are required to actively participate in the LSC Safety Program.
  • Be the forerunner in assuring customer satisfaction by meeting customer’s expectations while containing scope and cost creep.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience producing internal communications, newsletters, podcasts, or digital content.
  • Experience supporting project coordination, vendor interaction, or basic budget tracking.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone for employee audiences.
  • Familiarity with collaboration and publishing tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and basic content management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a collaborative environment.

  • Specialized knowledge or training
  • Professional certifications

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience
