Role Overview

A Content Specialist at Gamers Guild creates clear, engaging, on-brand content that drives awareness and sales across all of our paid and organic digital marketing channels. This role turns products, events, and community moments into compelling stories, keeping our website, email, social content, and ad content accurate, consistent, and timely, while collaborating with retail/events teams to effectively promote what’s happening in-store and online.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve customer-facing website content (landing pages, banners, basic SEO fields, FAQs, policies, updates)
  • Create and update product content to improve organic discoverability and conversion
  • Manage and execute a content calendar aligned to launches, restocks, events, and seasonal campaigns
  • Coordinate with events/retail leadership to gather details, confirm accuracy, and meet deadlines outlined by the Director of Marketing
  • Capture and repurpose content (photos/video snippets, short clips, testimonials) for multi-channel use
  • Ensure brand voice consistency, proofreading, and quality control across all published material
  • Support email marketing (campaign drafts, subject lines, segmentation notes, basic reporting learnings)
  • Track performance using basic metrics (traffic, clicks, engagement, conversions) and iterate on what’s working
  • Organize content assets (file naming, folders, version control) so the team can find and reuse materials easily in shared content storage
  • Monitor community feedback and trends to suggest new content ideas and improve messaging
  • Assist with promotional collaborations such as publisher spotlights, local partnerships, influencer/community features

Qualifications
