Role Summary
The Marketing Coordinator supports and executes both local and national marketing initiatives, bridging the gap between Grass Valley regional campaigns and broader e-commerce efforts. This hands-on role combines creative, logistical, and technical responsibilities including content production, social media coordination, design, photography, affiliate/influencer support, event execution, and community partnerships. This position is non-exempt, meaning the employee is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with California wage and hour laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Local & Retail Marketing
· Execute local marketing campaigns to drive foot traffic and engagement at the retail location.
· Design, install, and maintain in-store, exterior, and seasonal signage.
· Coordinate and support local events, workshops, and community partnerships.
· Support store teams with communications needs, such as holiday hours, promotions, and collateral.
· Assist with small retail-level initiatives (e.g., “Sip & Shop,” pop-ups, local activations).
Content, Creative & Digital Marketing
· Produce photography, retouching, layouts, and visual assets following established brand guidelines.
· Develop and implement social media content, scheduling, and community engagement.
· Coordinate and create paid social media ads and promotional graphics.
· Assist with product label updates and Canva template maintenance.
· Collaborate on web copy and content for community and affiliate pages.
· Support email marketing through content coordination and asset creation.
Affiliate / Influencer / Partnership Support
· Manage affiliate program operations, including applications and onboarding.
· Coordinate influencer collaborations and track performance.
· Maintain donation and in-kind gift documentation for community partnerships.· Process occasional influencer seeding.
Reporting, Strategy & Systems
· Assist Marketing Manager in developing national and local content strategies.
· Collaborate with other teams to complete Marketing requests.
· Maintain marketing processes, systems, templates, and digital asset libraries.
Required Qualifications & Skills
· 3+ years of experience in marketing, graphic design, content production, or related roles (retail or e-commerce preferred).
· Proficiency with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
· Experience with marketing platforms such as Klaviyo and Meta Business Suite.
· Strong photography and photo-editing skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
· Self-motivated and comfortable working independently or collaboratively.
· Ability to perform light physical tasks (e.g., signage installation, event setup, photography staging).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Regularly required to stand, walk, and perform light physical tasks.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.Primarily performed in a retail/office environment with occasional outdoor event work.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Schedule and Compensation
Schedule: Full-time, generally Monday–Friday; occasional weekends or evenings for events.
Compensation: $25.00/hr.
Eligible for overtime pay under California labor law.
Eligible for standard company benefits per policy (e.g., medical, dental, vision,vacation, sick).
