Job Summary

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting Emmaus' overall communications strategy. A successful Marketing Coordinator will create and produce impactful content, design information materials, and utilize digital marketing to promote the Emmaus brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the communications and marketing calendar in project management software to ensure its alignment with the overall communications strategy. Prompt collaborators as required to ensure established dates are met.
  • Assists with fundraising, events, recruitment campaigns, appeals, and newsletters, providing social postings, graphic design, email campaigns, and writings for such projects as assigned.
  • Contribute to planning, creation, scheduling, monitoring, engagement, and use of analytics for all social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) and the Emmaus website.
  • Monitor Emmaus’ online presence and profiles and report or correct inaccurate information and brand inconsistencies. Safeguard Emmaus’ reputation.
  • Manage the Stories inbox and photo/video storage and usage, ensuring and documenting proper Public Relations releases for content used.
  • Design, order, and manage distribution and storage of physical materials such as shirts, promotional items (swag), letterhead, envelopes, business cards, nametags, etc. Work with external vendors as necessary to acquire items as needed.
  • Create, edit, and publish a weekly CEO Corner communication (internal email newsletter). Compile and revise content for clarity, grammar, and spelling while ensuring mobile-friendly email templates.
  • Administer and maintain internal email databases as well as all automated employee communication.
  • Collaborate to offer communications support for internal initiatives such as WorkTango, open enrollment, employee giving, United Way campaign, materials to fit a brief, etc.
  • Coordinate internal Emmaus SharePoint updates. Facilitate inquiries to appropriate departments and regular SharePoint updates through all department leads.
  • Attend internal Emmaus activities to assist with content creation (coffees for change, client birthday parties, holiday parties, and other celebrations or activities as identified)
  • Attend External Emmaus special events to assist with day-of execution of the event (Golf Tournament, Raffle, Waves of Inspiration, etc.)

Standard - Demands of the Job

  • Able to perform functions described in Responsibilities.
  • Able to assist with lifting, transferring, or moving up to 25 pounds.
  • Able to attend work as required by position assignment.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends 6-8 times per year.
  • Perform detailed data collection, recording and reporting in handwriting and typing.
  • Safely operate company vehicle.

Job Requirements/Desired Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • 2+ years’ communications, marketing or content creation experience required. College degree or certification in related field accepted in lieu of work experience.
  • Intermediate graphic design skills required.
  • Intermediate business writing skills required.
  • Proficiency with mainstream social media platforms required.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
  • Email marketing skills required (current software is MailChimp)
  • SharePoint and web design skills preferred.
  • Valid and current driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Valid car insurance required.
