Essential requirements:
· At least 3 years’ prior marketing experience with strong desire for growth.
· Strong interest in collaborating on innovative marketing strategies to meet business objectives in an organized and enthusiastic manner.
· Expertise in project management skills and capacity to multi-task between multiple ongoing activities.
· Expertise in marketing automation tools, namely Marketo and its Salesforce interface, is essential to role.
· Strong interest in data analysis with basic to intermediate experience in Google Analytics and Google Ads preferred.
· Interest in storytelling and copyediting in collaboration with copywriter.
· Intermediate or above proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite.
· Intermediate or above proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
· Basic to intermediate knowledge of WordPress backend management.
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· Aptitude for organization as a system-driven thinker and excellent process management skills.
· In-office presence, Monday – Friday, namely between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Role and responsibilities:
- Overall marketing project management: Track sales/marketing data and activities, maintain promotional materials inventory, plan meetings, maintain image/video databases, and prepare ongoing reporting.
- Manage the coordination and production of all print materials, including brochures and annual catalog. Duties include collaborating with marketing lead, leadership team, and outside marketing entities on strategic planning and creative direction, managing budget, directing, and overseeing project schedule(s), working closely with designers on development and design, and editing/writing content.
- Responsible for marketing related duties associated with Marketo automated marketing platform. Work with marketing lead on the development and implementation of automated sales, drips, and marketing functions.
- Management of content calendar, development, and implementation of twice-weekly sales emails in Marketo.
- Meet and coordinate between OBP Marketing Team, OBP Sales Team, OBP Leadership Team, and outside vendors so that all players are aware of current marketing initiatives or initiatives in the works.
- Develop understanding of all internal and competitor marketing related materials connected with the annual OBP trip portfolio. Assist on design and development of content to deliver trip-related marketing materials (digital and print). Namely responsible for managing and updating trip brochures and post-catalog trip-copy web needs.
- Facilitate content additions, updates, and corrections to OBP website as well as support all development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the OBP website.
- Support tech consultant in the digital marketing/SEM sphere to supply needed information. Assist in the review all ad campaign language associated with digital marketing efforts. Participate in meetings to track performance and needs.
- Manage outside consultant related to SEO, including keyword coordination on blogs, and working with consultants and others to facilitate SEO improvements.
- Act as assistant blog managing editor. Coordinate with editorial calendar and schedule, edit, write, or commission a target of two blogs posts per month on the OBP side. Posting and publishing include loading copy into WordPress, creating hyperlinks, adding key words and meta description, adding (and sometimes sourcing) photos, and publishing.
- Manage the solicitation and negotiation of print and design bids and pricing with relevant vendors.
- Research competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
- Write, edit, proof special one-off content tasks as needed.
- Participate in the coordination of marketing efforts of the Lindblad family of travel companies.
- Update role knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and actively reading trade publications.
- Participate in occasional OBP trips with the objective of writing blogs and/or placing stories about the experience in travel magazines such as Conde Nast and Travel + Leisure.
