Who we are:

We’re a scrappy climbing gear company with a passion for quality gear, sustainable practices, and supporting the climbing community. We have recently moved out of the garage and are growing. We make equipment for Bouldering, a specific discipline of rock climbing. Our products are used at crags all around the world and in some of the biggest competitions in the US and internationally. We are a tight knit group of 3 - 5 people that value making things with our hands, creating quality products, and experimenting with new ideas to make something new and exciting. Now, we’re looking for a one-person marketing powerhouse to take our brand to the next grade.

Who we are looking for:

This is a solo, full-stack marketing role. You’ll be in charge of all things brand and communications for our Direct to Consumer and Wholesale channels—from strategy refinement to execution. That means owning all communications supporting core business and new product launches – including content marketing (email, website, social), partnerships, community engagement, and the analytics to track performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Brand & Strategy: Refine and execute our marketing strategy with limited oversight. Build consistent messaging across channels.
  • Analytics: Track and report performance across platforms. Use insights to refine strategy.
  • Email: plan, develop, and execute, and analyze all emails (promotional, flow transactional)
  • Website Support: Manage and update website content. Launch new site features. Basic Shopify or CMS skills a plus.
  • Content Creation: Plan, create, and manage annual content calendar and production of original content (photo, video, copy) for email, blog, Instagram, YouTube. Includes oversight of content creators and ambassadors.
  • Community Engagement: Build relationships with climbers, ambassadors, and the climbing community online and in person.
  • Partnerships: Identify and manage collabs with gyms, events, and outdoor orgs.
  • Packaging: Refine strategy for and lead execution of new product packaging
  • Collateral: update brand materials as needed

What Skills We’re Looking For

  • Have 3+ years of marketing experience for a product company (bonus if in outdoor goods)
  • Start up experience strongly preferred
  • Strong background in leveraging analytics to drive growth.
  • Experience with digital marketing, especially email, SEO, and content strategy
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Proven ability to manage external contracts including content creators, graphic designers, ambassadors
  • Are a creative thinker and doer with strong organization and follow-through
  • Understand the climbing community and gear culture
  • Self-starter who thrives in creative, fast-paced environments
  • Excitement about building something from scratch and wearing multiple hats
  • Bonus photography and/or video skills a plus. (even better if you’re comfortable shooting at the crag!)
  • Bonus visual design skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $4,500.00 - $5,000.00 per month
