Job Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator will assist in the execution of marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the company’s products, services, and brand. This role is responsible for a variety of marketing activities, including content creation, social media management, event coordination, email marketing, and market research. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and contribute to driving brand awareness, engagement, and sales growth.
This is a role that has great potential to grow as the festival does.
We are looking for someone that lives in the Bellingham area or can be here this summer during the festival.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Management:
- Assist in planning, developing, and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate and track the execution of marketing projects from start to finish.
- Collaborate with internal teams (design, content, product, sales) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of marketing materials.
Content Creation and Asset Management:
- Assist in creating and editing content for various platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, paid digital media, email newsletters, and print materials.
- Ensure content is aligned with the brand voice and messaging.
- Organize, categorize and audit photo and video assets, ensuring file naming consistency and alignment with brand identity.
Social Media & Digital Marketing:
- Manage and maintain the company’s social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, etc.).
- Create and schedule posts, monitor engagement, and interact with the audience in a manner that’s consistent with brand tone and voice.
- Track social media analytics and generate reports to measure effectiveness.
Email Marketing:
- Assist in the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns.
- Segment and manage email lists, design templates, and monitor campaign performance (open rates, click-through rates, etc.).
Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct research to identify market trends, competitors, and customer insights.
- Compile and present findings to help inform future marketing strategies and initiatives.
Event Coordination:
- Assist with organizing and promoting the event at trade shows and other local events as determined by the company.
- Help coordinate logistics, assist with managing media teams, and collaborate on event materials leading up to and during the festival weekend.
Brand Management:
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging, tone, and visual identity across all marketing channels and materials.
- Support brand initiatives and contribute to the development of promotional assets.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain and update marketing calendars, schedules, and project tracking tools.
- Assist in budget tracking and management for marketing activities and campaigns.
- Manage inventory of marketing collateral and promotional materials.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in marketing or a related field, preferably in a coordinator or assistant role.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Office Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Later, HootSuite, etc.)
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of SEO, SEM, and Google Analytics is a plus.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Equipment: Must provide your own laptop and cell phone.
- Location: Candidates must be located in the Bellingham, WA area, with ability to meet on-site for occasional meetings and marketing activations. Candidate must be on site the week of July 7-14, 2025.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Joomla).
- Knowledge of digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager).
Personal Attributes:
- Interest in mountain biking, music and art to align with festival culture/trends.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proactive, with a positive attitude and a passion for marketing.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
