Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator will provide support to our VP Marketing Manager. This role acts as the operational backbone of the marketing department, handling the administrative and creative logistics that keep community support, advertisements, events, and digital content running smoothly.

This position requires a high degree of creativity, organization, copywriting, and attention to detail. The right candidate should be a team player who is eager to learn and play an integral role in the success of the department and bank.

We have one full-time opportunity available at our New Richmond branch location. The typical schedule is Monday - Friday with hours ranging between 8:00am - 4:30pm and may vary between 35-40 hours per week. Additional requirements for special functions on evenings or weekends may be expected.

Essential duties and responsibilities of the Marketing Coordinator include:

Marketing Tasks:

  • Coordinate community support initiatives: Manage requests for sponsorships, donations, grants, and community advertising efforts. Coordinate bank-hosted community support drives / collections.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns: Help create materials and launch marketing campaigns across multiple channels as directed by the VP Marketing Manager.
  • Manage social media accounts: Create engaging content, schedule posts, and interact with our followers on the bank’s social platforms.
  • Update the company website and internal Marketing SharePoint page: Regularly refresh content and maintain accurate information.
  • Coordinate events: Support the planning and execution of customer events, community support events or tradeshows, and seminars/webinars. Attend events as needed to facilitate their success.
  • Update and distribute marketing collateral: Develop flyers, signage, mailers, handouts, etc. Maintain up-to-date brochures and sales pieces while ensuring they are accessible to staff.
  • Ad Creation: Using brand standards, develop copy and design elements per specifications on general print and digital advertising requests.
  • Develop customer communications: create marketing emails and satisfaction surveys as requested.
  • Coordinate marketing mailings: Organize and distribute marketing communications to customers and prospects via direct mail.
  • Create content and design of company newsletter: Design and develop relevant content for the bi-monthly company newsletter sent to customers and other community subscribers.
  • Manage marketing supplies: Research options and pricing of promotional items and logo paper stock. Perform monthly inventory of supplies, place new and re-orders, and distribute materials to branches as needed.

Employee Related Tasks:

  • Coordinate employee engagement activities: Plan and execute all-staff events, anniversary and retirement celebrations, and other team enhancement activities or projects.
  • Coordinate employee volunteer opportunities: Organize and promote initiatives that encourage staff involvement in community service.
  • New hire onboarding tasks: Prepare onboarding packet and goodie bag, obtain and edit staff photo, update apparel catalog and distribute items, maintain org chart, order business cards, update birthdays and anniversaries on SharePoint.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Provide administrative support: Handle routine marketing tasks, organize files, maintain tracking logs, update marketing expenses, and prepare reports as needed.
  • Local travel/errands: May travel to other FNC Bank branches to assist with marketing, community and employee related events, campaigns, and other projects. Additional travel to local establishments may be necessary to support various department initiatives as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP Marketing Manager.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor's degree in marketing plus 2 or more years of experience in a similar marketing role is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent proofreading skills
  • Copywriting ability to craft captivating communications from scratch
  • Photo/Image/Video editing is a plus
  • Consistently displays a high attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks, meeting deadlines consistently
  • Displays a positive and can-do attitude with the capacity to work independently and as part of the team

Software Operating Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • Graphic design and experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Canva is preferred
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube)
