This opportunity is perfect for a go-getter looking to grow and develop in a dynamic, fast-scaling company where design, storytelling, and nature intersect.

Scope of Work:

Content Creation

  • Capture high-quality photo and video content of our shops, installations, and events to highlight our design work and products.
  • Travel between store locations and select projects around NYC to document spaces before, during, and after installation.
  • Develop creative narratives that showcase our plants, team, and clients in visually compelling ways.

Content Editing & Management

  • Maintain organized libraries of content assets, ensuring files are easily accessible and up to date.
  • Ensure all content aligns with The Old Yew’s aesthetic, tone, and strategic objectives.

Social Media & Community

  • Manage The Old Yew’s social media calendar and posting schedule across all platforms.
  • Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and nurture an authentic online community.
  • Stay ahead of social trends and platform updates to keep The Old Yew at the forefront of digital botanical culture.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute paid and organic social media campaigns.

Email, Web, and Digital Marketing

  • Build and send ongoing email campaigns, highlighting new arrivals, events, and editorial content.
  • Assist with Shopify website updates, SEO optimizations, and blog content to support search visibility and storytelling.
  • Support the creation and management of Meta and Google Ads campaigns.

Campaign Coordination

  • Coordinate photoshoots, partnerships, and seasonal marketing campaigns.
  • Track campaign performance and report on KPIs across social, email, and website channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create assets for promotions, in-store events, and trade marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, content creation, or social media management for a retail, design, or lifestyle brand.
  • Strong photography and videography skills; comfortable shooting with a phone or camera in dynamic environments.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva; basic video editing skills required (Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Meta Business Suite, and Google Ads required.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and an eye for design.
  • Deep understanding of social media trends, analytics, and audience growth strategies.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • A love for plants, interiors, and beautiful spaces is essential.
