The College for Health, Community and Policy (HCAP) at UT San Antonio trains students to develop solutions for complex social issues to improve the well-being of our communities. By engaging directly with the City of San Antonio and other key community partners, students and faculty live the college's mission to advance human health every day. The college is comprised of seven academic departments and one program -criminology and criminal justice, kinesiology, nutrition and dietetics, psychology, public administration, public health, social work and sociology and demography -as well as the Center for Applied Community and Policy Research, the Center for Community Based and Applied Health Research, the Institute for Demographic and Socioeconomic Research and the Institute for Health Disparities Research. Salary Range: Up to $67,450/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job DetailsJob Summary
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting various marketing initiatives, including coordinating advertising campaigns, managing social media, and assisting with content creation. This role supports the design, implementation, measurement, and optimization of marketing and communication plans and programs with long and short-term strategies that support institutional priorities and business goals, while contributing to building the University and College for Health, Community and Policy brands. The Marketing Coordinator will contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of communications both internally and externally.
Core Responsibilities-
Collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders of the college in the development, creation, and production of marketing and communications materials, resources, services and campaigns.

Manages the processing and handling of marketing and communications requests from HCAP faculty, staff and stakeholders to include logging, tracking, providing updates, and closing of requests.

Manages timelines, deliverables and task tracking for marketing client requests, initiatives and projects and reports on challenges and outcomes. Coordinates consultants and vendor interactions on assigned projects.

Creates, maintains and refreshes accessible, digital-first materials, as well as printed materials, published by the college and related units to include copywriting, editing and graphics design and production.

Serves as the website coordinator for the college. Develops, maintains, and updates websites; coordinates updates, content reviews, and revisions; performs testing and quality control; ensures websites comply with University, System, and State mandates, guidelines, and legislation. Coordinates CMS workflow submissions from departments, programs, institutes, centers, and labs.

Serves as the social media coordinator for the college, creating and posting compelling content including videos, photos and copy that promotes engagement, strategic initiatives and college and sub-unit achievements across multiple channels. Apply SEO, AEO, and GEO best practices and keyword research across all content.

Conducts market research in support of marketing plans; analyzes and targets market segments.

Serves as a photographer and/or videographer at academic program, department, college and university events to capture a visual record for use in the college's marketing and communications efforts.

Coordinates the curation, storage and management of the college's digital photographic, video, audio, and graphic assets as well as physical media and print resources.

Maintains inventories of branded giveaway items for use at college events and programs and coordinates ordering of new stock.

Assists in the selection and operation of marketing tools and software.

Assists in grant and fundraising related writing as assigned.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications-
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Education and experience may be substituted on a one year for one year basis.

Three (3) years of related work experience.

This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Working Conditions-
Office Environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. Workdays, areas, and work hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
Physical Demands-
Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will work primarily
on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
