La Familia is the creative force behind some of the most influential Latin music festivals in North America, including Baja Beach Fest in Rosarito, MX, and Sueños Music Festival in Chicago, IL. We’re a culture-driven team passionate about music, creativity, and building unforgettable experiences that bring people together.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support the day-to-day activities of the Marketing Director and the broader marketing team across Baja Beach Fest and Sueños.

This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, grow, and develop within a fast-paced creative environment. You don’t need many years of experience—what matters most is your strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and drive to contribute to major marketing initiatives that shape two of the biggest Latin music festivals in North America.

You’ll assist in managing creative deliverables, maintaining communication across teams and vendors, and ensuring marketing projects move forward efficiently and on time. Above all, we’re looking for someone who’s passionate about storytelling, positioning, and crafting messages that connect with culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing Director in executing day-to-day marketing initiatives and team organization.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns and deliverables across internal teams, agency partners, and vendors.
  • Draft, edit, and refine copy for social media, email, websites, and marketing collateral—ensuring alignment with brand voice and cultural tone.
  • Maintain project timelines, task lists, and campaign trackers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate regularly with creative, partnerships, production, and media teams to align on priorities.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing creative assets, approvals, and post-campaign recaps.
  • Support the planning and execution of marketing activations, influencer collaborations, and brand partnerships.
  • Research cultural and industry trends to support campaign ideation and creative strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0–3 years of marketing coordination, project management, or related experience (music, events, or lifestyle brands preferred).
  • Excellent copywriting, messaging, and positioning skills — must be able to write clear, engaging, and culturally relevant content.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with project management tools (ClickUp, Asana, Trello, etc.) and Google Workspace.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required) — both written and verbal communication.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to San Diego, CA.

You’re a Great Fit If You...

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, creative, and collaborative environment.
  • Love Latin music, culture, and live experiences.
  • Are passionate about storytelling, branding, and community connection.
  • Take initiative and enjoy supporting and learning from a senior marketing leader.
  • Are eager to grow into a larger marketing role over time.

Compensation & Perks

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Hybrid work flexibility (San Diego–based team)
  • Access to major music festivals and events
  • Mentorship from experienced marketing leaders
  • Opportunity to grow within one of the most recognized teams in Latin music
